Hayet Gessese is a diversity practitioner focused on race relations and building bridges and connecting/reconciling communities of color to organizations. His passion grew out of a desire to see diverse individuals like himself thrive in historically homogenous settings. As a writer, his written work centralizes in telling untapped stories that intersect themes of redemption, art, faith, and justice across various mediums.
Being raised as a child of immigrants in an inner city environment, Hayet brings a pedagogical approach enriched in urban culture, humor, hip hop, and film to engage audiences and organizations. Hayet’s love for diversity has been emboldened by his experiences of witnessing diverse people groups thrive within the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Oceania. Hayet holds a BFA in Cinematic Arts from Azusa Pacific University, an Advanced Diploma in Pastoral Leadership, and a Masters of Arts in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California.
